This week was Bear Week at Camp Gan Shalom. We crawled, growled, built caves, and made bear puppets. We went on a bear hunt through the shul and learned how to bear crawl. We read a variety of books to help learn about bears including the Berenstein Bears, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and many others!
We made challah this week, some stepping stones for our garden, neat bee hats for our play, and when it was nice, played in the water and outside.
We had a great time putting on a play with Morah Marina based on the book “Lazy Bear.” Make sure to read below about all our upcoming events and important classroom news! Check out this week’s pictures here. We will see you next week for dog week! (with a special visitor…see below!)
A Visit From Charlie Poodle

Next week is dog week, and we will have a special visitor. Charlie Poodle is a therapy dog who volunteers weekly at Children’s Hospital. He is taking time out of his busy schedule to come visit us next week! We will see him Tuesday!
Important Classroom Updates
Please note that classrooms 201 and 202 are now nut free. Common areas such as the music room and art studio are nut free as well. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Hesse in the preschool office.

Let’s Walk to the Library to See Penguins
July 31st, 2 p.m.

On Tuesday, July 31st African Penguins will be visiting the Squirrel Hill Library. Those of us not napping will be walking to see the penguins. Parents, if you would like to join us, come to school at 2 p.m.
We would love it if everyone wore their camp t-shirts on Friday!
